Destruction of Records Notice
NOTICE OF RECORDS DESTRUCTION
Ringgold School District Pupil Services Department
In compliance with the Ringgold School District’s Board Policy 113.4 (Confidentiality of Special Education Student Information), the Pupil Services Department will be securely destroying Special Education, Section 504, and Gifted Education records annually. Under Policy 113.4, qualifying records will be maintained for six years after a student exits from services or graduates/moves from the District.
Former students who are interested in obtaining their records may arrange for an in-person retrieval of their records by calling the Pupil Services Department at (724)258-7141. An individual 18 years of age or older, unless adjudicated, must request and pick-up their own records at the District Administration Building at 400 Main Street New Eagle, PA 15067. Photo identification is required to pick up any records.
All student records related to Special Education, Section 504, and Gifted Education dated prior to July 1, 2019, that are not requested for pick-up on or before June 30, 2025, will be destroyed in July 2025.
