Board Meeting Information

The Ringgold School District Board of Education will be meeting on December 18, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the Administration Building, 400 Main Street, New Eagle, PA  15067, for the purpose of holding a public hearing to receive information concerning the Application of the Dogwood Charter School as required by the Charter School Regulations seeking to establish a brick and mortar Charter School within the boundaries of the Ringgold School District.  Any questions, please contact Board Secretary at Kimberley Moore at kmoore@ringgold.org.

Regarding Application for Charter School of Dogwood Charter School

Notice is hereby given that the Ringgold School District will conduct a public hearing regarding the Application for Charter School of Dogwood Charter School submitted to the Ringgold School District on November 22, 2024.

The public hearing shall be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the Ringgold School District Administration Building, 400 Main Street, New Eagle, PA 15067. 

The hearing may be viewed virtually, but the applicant and persons wishing to provide verbal comments at the time of the hearing must attend in person. Members of the public may view the hearing virtually or attend in person.

The hearing pertains to the Application of Dogwood Charter School, seeking to operate a new charter school within the boundaries of the Ringgold School District beginning in the 2025-2026 school year. The purpose of the hearing is to gather information from the applicant about the proposed charter school as well as receive comments from interested individuals regarding the application.

Individuals who wish to provide written comments on the Application must provide a copy of their comments to the District and the Applicant. Written comments will become part of the certified record concerning the Application. Verbal comments may be made at the hearing but may be limited based on the number of individuals requesting time to provide comments.

The hearing will be conducted by the Board of School Directors. The Board of School Directors may question the Applicant on issues identified during the initial review, as well as issues raised in the written and verbal comments from the public. The Board of School Directors may also question individuals who offer verbal comments. Individuals providing written or verbal comments shall not be permitted to question either the applicant or the Board of School Directors.
